DON MILLAR

Don Millar is a writer, director and lens-based artist who uses visual excellence, emotion and intellectual rigor to bring stories to life.

His films provide a definitive record of their subjects. Millar works around the globe, and his range extends from features to short films and Art Snap, a digital series that lets views discover new stories about art.

His filmmaking is informed by a longstanding involvement with contemporary art. He has served on the board of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver and as an Ambassador for Het HEM in Amsterdam.

Before turning to filmmaking, Millar worked as a business and political consultant, advising clients in the financial services, real estate, hospitality and energy sectors, with a particular focus on sustainability initiatives.

He is the founder of New Theory Pictures.
